Breeze

I'm quite picky and have some requirements that I need in a pad:
- speed pad! Must be low dynamic (kinetic) friction.
- cannot have grain or texture. It has to be smooth and my mousefeet can’t feel grainy.
- cannot be unpleasant to the touch or abrasive or rough or sticky or muggy and humid.
- Base should hold and not move.
- mouse x-axis and y-axis friction scaling. It can't be faster going up down versus left and right.
- stitching being neat
- some slight static friction so I don't feel my mouse slipping away from me and can more easily micro-adjust
-firmer surface

Each of these requirements the "Matrova Breeze" Mid 490x420 that I purchased fulfils.

Packaging
Packaging was very good, it arrived safely in a flat-packed box package and had been nicely packed in a labelless and undecorated all black sturdy large envelope and encased in a dust protective plastic cover.

Surface Feel
I can't stand a grainy surface like on the Otsu. One of the difficult things about wanting a smooth and ultra fine (no grain, grainless) mousemat is that the smoother ones tend to be control pads or mudpads because of the nature of the stitching. The breeze has no grain feeling whatsoever and is a speedpad and feels like it attracts less dust and dander than a brown Artisan Raiden (but that may also be because of it being less visible due to the mint green colour). I can compare it to the feeling on your skin from a high quality knit cotton or the kind of soft glasses wipes that comes with high end designer eyeglasses.

Surface Speed
It's difficult to define how fast but the dynamic (kinetic) friction feels as fast to me as an Artisan Raiden of the mid variety. The static friction feels way slower than an Artisan. It might be more comparable to static friction on a black X-Raypad AC Pro. Don't get me wrong this thing is fast and this will be especially noticeable and pleasant on precision tracking scens and dynamic clicking as well as speed switching. The artisan Raiden might only outperform on reactive tracking as well as evasive switching. Static clicking will depend if the momentum required to do micro adjustments will work against you or not. Overall: speedy fast surface.

Smell
I have to include this b/c pads I've tried would have a smelly base made out of silicone, PU, or rubber (toxic fumes escaping glasspads). This surface had no offensive smells from its manufacturing process and didn't bother me whatsoever.

Stitching and Base Feel
I don't notice any stitching imperfections and I've had Artisan pads with stitching that was sloppily done. The actual back is very very firmly attached to my wooden desk and sticks better than any pad I had tried from Endgame Gear or Artisan or X-Raypad. I would've ordered a more firm option than Mid but it wasn't available at the time to buy.

I have ordered an X-Firm because I want to try a more hard surface, a faster surface, and I also want to alternate between the Mid and X-Firm to increase the durability.

Durability
The pad had only arrived a week or so ago and I will monitor it but I'm optimistic just because of how quality the stitching, surface, and back is.

X-axis vs Y-axis
It feels like it is very even between x and y axis compared to even some glasspads I used that noticeably felt more sensitive going up and down compared to left and right. This pad feels pretty darn consistent friction wise though I don't have a scientific way of measuring this.

Performance
Scientifically 😏🤓 I have been using the Voltaic benchmarks in Aimlab for a while. They did improve when I switched to glasspads and was able fulfil almost all of my requirements. But glass had some issues, without a sleeve the hand would stick during humidity or from my arms own heat touching the glass during small movements and would obstruct me and static friction was too low. Matrova Breeze doesn't have these issues. The hand feeling is always pleasant even under hotter temperatures and static friction is enough for me to feel more comfortable stopping and starting my movements. Out of 16 benchmarks, 14 of them improved. Dynamic clicking specifically (pasu) improved markedly by 30+% score. Only reactive tracking suffered and that's because of the speed difference between glass and cloth and that static friction being higher (but that is a worthy trade off). These improvements are insane 🤩

Conclusion
I purchased this with my own 32 USD plus shipping. This is a very attractive value price wise as compared to Artisan, X-Raypad and even LGG and InfinityMice and I've tried dozens of cloth and glasspads and my preference was glasspad prior to the Breeze. It went above and beyond my expectations. I never bought a product before from Matrova or heard of them prior to the last month or so and seeing people review them on Reddit r/mousepadreview as well as Twitter. I'm very impressed. I'm very satisfied.

Oh and I'm selling my remaining two glasspads and it's all Matrova's fault 🤪

By far the smoothest cloth pad Ive tested, weave is insanely tight with no texture. Definitely has plenty of control which is nice for mid & firm pads. Base is sticky asf. Speed is in perfect tier for cloth IMO hanging with Raiden, Neptune, and SpeedV2, fast with some added control. Been going crazy on BF & CoD since game 1

genuinly cant describe how good the smoothness of the surface is, broke every kovaaks score i ever cared about in the first 4 days of owning this, so fast in the dynamic and very fast in static
